Sports Mole previews Friday's Scottish Premiership clash between Ross County and Livingston, including predictions, team news and possible lineups.

Ross County host Livingston in the Scottish Premiership this Friday night in a fixture that the Scottish Government have allowed up to 300 fans to attend.

The home side hope to get back to winning ways after losing their last two league matches, while Livingston are also looking to end their poor run of form in the league after losing their last three league games, most recently suffering a 2-0 defeat to Motherwell.

Match preview

Ross County manager Stuart Kettlewell admitted that he has reverted to "old school" training methods and has adapted his approach for their upcoming matches in a bid to rediscover confidence and form.

Kettlewell is also keen for his forwards to reacquaint themselves with finding the back of the net after scoring just eight goals from 13 Scottish Premiership matches.

Last weekend saw Oli Shaw score Ross County's first goal in four league games but that was not enough to secure any points, as they suffered a 2-1 defeat away to Dundee United.

The Staggies are desperate to end their run of five matches without a league win and a victory at Victoria Park could see them move into the top six.

After losing three consecutive league matches, including last weekend's 2-0 home defeat to Motherwell, Livingston have slipped to 10th in the Scottish Premiership table.

Manager Gary Holt was unimpressed with his side's "rubbish" performance against the Steelemen and despite enduring stormy weather conditions with 50-mile-per-hour winds, Holt wished that the Lions had managed the conditions better.

One of Livingston's three league victories this campaign saw them defeat Friday's opponents 1-0 at the end of August, with a strike from Jon Guthrie enough to secure the three points.

The Lions however have only won one away game in the league this season -a 2-1 victory at Dundee United- and hope that a win over Ross County for the second time this campaign will end their run of three games without a win.

Securing the three points on Friday would see the visitors move onto 14 points and climb above the Staggies into eight place.

Team News

Ross County midfielder Ross Draper and defender Callum Morris remain sidelined with calf injuries.

Full-back Connor Randall should be available for selection, despite hobbling off after only 11 minutes in last weekend's 2-1 defeat to Dundee United.

Central midfielder Harry Paton could be recalled to the starting lineup and versatile midfielder Regan Charles-Cook is likely to feature on the right side of a midfield four.

Livingston goalkeeper Robby McCrorie is set to return to the side after missing last weekend's 2-0 loss at Motherwell, which could therefore see Max Stryjek drop to the bench.

Central defenders Efe Ambrose and Ciaron Brown will be competing with one another for a place in Jack Ross' starting XI.

Wingers Scott Robinson and Alan Forrest are likely to be recalled to the starting lineup.

Ross County possible starting lineup:
Doohan; Randall, Donaldson, Iacovitti, Reid; Charles-Cook, Paton, Lakin, Vigurs; Mckay, Stewart

Livingston possible starting lineup:
McCrorie; Devlin, Ambrose, Guthrie, Serrano; Bartley, Holt; Robinson, Pittman, Forrest; Emmanuel-Thomas

We say: Ross County 0-1 Livingston

With Ross County struggling to find their form in front of goal, the visitors may secure a narrow victory to win their fourth game in five against the home side.
