Mauricio Pochettino reportedly rebuffed Barcelona's attempts to land him as their new manager amid links with the Manchester United job.

Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino reportedly rejected two offers to become Barcelona's new manager as he eyes the Manchester United job.

Current Red Devils manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has come under increased pressure following a disappointing start to the new season - including a 2-1 defeat to Istanbul Basaksehir in the most recent round of Champions League fixtures.

United are set to take on early high-flyers Everton in Saturday's Premier League fixture, with speculation mounting over Solskjaer's chances of being relieved of his duties if the Red Devils lose to the Toffees.

Pochettino continues to be linked with the United job in the wake of Solskjaer's troubles, and according to the Daily Star, the Argentine has turned down two offers to become Barcelona's new leader since being sacked by Tottenham.

The report claims that Pochettino did not feel the need to rush back into management and was determined to wait for the right club to come along, with Barca eventually opting for Ronald Koeman as Quique Setien's successor.

As well as Pochettino, RB Leipzig manager Julian Nagelsmann has been tipped to take the reins at Old Trafford should Solskjaer be axed in the near future.
