Barcelona will be aiming to reach their 24th Supercopa de Espana final when they face off against Real Sociedad in Wednesday's semi-final.

Ronald Koeman's side won their third game on the bounce with a resounding 4-0 triumph over Granada at the weekend, with Lionel Messi and Antoine Griezmann both netting braces for La Blaugrana.

Barca were knocked out at this stage of the 2019-20 Supercopa de Espana, but they have lifted the trophy 13 times down the years, more than any other team to have played in the competition.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Barcelona could line up for their clash with Sociedad, who have only won one of their last 12 games in all competitions.

Out: Sergi Roberto (muscle), Philippe Coutinho (knee), Ansu Fati (knee), Gerard Pique (knee)
Doubtful: Ronald Araujo (hamstring)

Ronald Koeman will be able to welcome Clement Lenglet back for this game after he sat out the win over Granada through suspension, so Oscar Mingueza is set to drop out.

Lenglet's fellow centre-back Ronald Araujo sustained a hamstring injury in the warm up before Saturday's game, and even though he is marked as doubtful for the semi-final, he has been included in Koeman's squad and therefore has a good chance of being involved.

Samuel Umtiti is ready to continue in the heart of defence if required, while Jordi Alba, Sergino Dest and Marc Andre ter-Stegen are all set to retain their places in the rearguard.

Miralem Pjanic is pushing for more starts in midfield but is unlikely to be granted one here, with Sergio Busquets, Frenkie de Jong and the up-and-coming Pedri expected to man the engine room.

Ousmane Dembele should keep Trincao out of the team for now, while Griezmann will be hoping to add to the two goals he struck against Granada from the opposite flank.

Despite persistent speculation over his future, Messi has started to hit top gear for the Blaugrana and is set to lead the line again, and the Argentine boasts a remarkable 16 goals and nine assists in all competitions against Sociedad. body check tags ::
