Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer talk for Arsenal on Thursday, January 21.

The January transfer window is now open, with Arsenal continuing to be linked with a host of big names.

The Gunners have endured a torrid first half of the season and have been tipped to bolster their ranks this month - in addition to offloading out-of-favour players - in a bid to turn their campaign around.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings at the Emirates Stadium.

Thursday morning's Arsenal transfer talk news roundup:

Inter Milan want Lucas Torreira, Christian Eriksen swap deal with Arsenal?

Inter Milan could reportedly attempt to strike a swap deal involving Christian Eriksen and Lucas Torreira with Arsenal.

Eriksen's ill-fated stint at San Siro could come to an end within the next couple of weeks after Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta confirmed that he was free to leave this month.

Meanwhile, Torreira headed to Atletico Madrid on loan in the summer after struggling for game time under Mikel Arteta, but the Uruguay international is enduring a similar fate in the Spanish capital with only 13 appearances in all competitions this season.

According to Italian outlet Tuttosport, Inter are now looking at a swap deal involving the two midfielders as an ideal solution for both parties.

Arsenal are known to be in the market for a new creative midfielder despite the form of Emile Smith Rowe, and Inter are supposedly looking to bolster their engine room with Matias Vecino's future in doubt.

Eriksen has only started four top-flight matches under Antonio Conte this term, while Torreira has featured from the first whistle on two occasions in La Liga with Atletico.

Arsenal 'make loan approach for Martin Odegaard'

Arsenal are reportedly keen on a loan deal for Real Madrid attacker Martin Odegaard.

The 22-year-old has been restricted to just nine appearances for Los Blancos during the 2020-21 campaign, while he has only played just once in La Liga since the end of November.

A recent report claimed that the Norway international is keen on a move away from the Spanish champions during the January window in order to seek more first-team minutes.

According to Sky Sports News, the Gunners have approached Zinedine Zidane's side over the possibility of signing the attacker on loan for the remainder of the 2020-21 campaign.

The report claims that Madrid are now considering the proposal from Mikel Arteta's side, although one other Premier League club are also said to be in the hunt.

Odegaard returned to the Bernabeu for the current season after an impressive spell on loan at Real Sociedad, where he managed seven goals and nine assists in 36 appearances.
