Swansea City 'lead race for Youssouf Mulumbu'

Swansea City are reportedly in talks with free agent Youssouf Mulumbu but face competition from other Championship clubs.

Swansea City are reportedly in talks with free agent Youssouf Mulumbu but face competition from other Championship clubs.

Mulumbu left Kilmarnock at the end of last season and is currently without a club after making 18 appearances in his one Scottish Premiership campaign.

According to The Sun, the Congolese midfielder is on the verge of signing for the Swans and a deal could be completed within the next few days.

The report adds that Bordeaux were also keen on the player, while other clubs in England remain interested.

Mulumbu had two spells in the Premier League with West Bromwich Albion and Norwich City.
