The first El Clasico of the 2018-19 campaign between Barcelona and Real Madrid will take place at Camp Nou on October 28.

Speaking to Onda Cero, La Liga president Javier Tebas confirmed the date and revealed that kickoff would be at 4.15pm local time.

Barcelona and Madrid played out a 2-2 draw in their last league meeting at the start of May, with Gareth Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo, Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi all on the scoresheet.

The two Spanish giants have both started the 2018-19 La Liga season with three straight wins as Madrid look to wrestle the title back from Barcelona.

Los Blancos are next in action away to Athletic Bilbao after the international break, while Barcelona will travel to Real Sociedad on September 15.
