Tottenham Hotspur confident of striking £20m Jack Grealish deal?

Daniel Levy reportedly expects Aston Villa to sell Jack Grealish to Tottenham Hotspur for a fee of £20m or less before the transfer window closes.

Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy is reportedly still confident of pushing through a £20m deal for Jack Grealish, despite Aston Villa's recent takeover.

Villans boss Steve Bruce warned last week that interested clubs would no longer be able to land the club's star asset on the cheap following the arrival of Egyptian billionaire Nassef Sawiris and American businessman Wes Edens.

According to The Mirror, Levy has so far held off from bidding for the 22-year-old and has only made initial contact with Villa chiefs.

The report suggests that, while the Championship outfit's financial situation now looks more positive than a week ago, they are still at risk of flouting Financial Fair Play rules and may be forced to cash in.

Grealish himself is believed to be keen on a move to the top flight, and Tottenham therefore expect a bid of up to £20m to be enough to tempt Villa into selling the attacking midfielder.
