Manchester United to hand fine to Anthony Martial?

Manchester United reportedly decide to fine Anthony Martial two weeks wages after the Frenchman allegedly failed to train since leaving the club's pre-season tour.

Manchester United have reportedly decided to hand Anthony Martial a fine of £180,000 for failing to train since leaving the club's pre-season tour of the United States.

Martial was given permission to return to Europe last month in order to attend the birth of his second child, but it has seemingly resulted in issues behind the scenes for the forward.

According to The Mirror, United do not believe that the 22-year-old has tried to maintain his fitness over the past eight days after not joining back up with the squad.

The report says that United will now fine the France international two weeks' wages, actions which are unlikely to help the growing tension between the player and Jose Mourinho.

The Portuguese has previously been critical of Martial, who would allegedly prefer to leave Old Trafford this summer in order to secure regular first-team football.
