Millwall keen on Sheffield United midfielder Ryan Leonard?

Millwall are reportedly interested in signing Sheffield United midfielder Ryan Leonard on loan.

Millwall are reportedly interested in signing Sheffield United midfielder Ryan Leonard on loan.

The 26-year-old joined the Blades from Southend United in January, playing 13 games in the second half of last season.

According to Sky Sports News, Millwall want to loan the midfielder before signing Leonard on a permanent basis in January.

The report adds that the Lions are in talks to sell George Saville to Middlesbrough, but will only authorise the deal if they sign a replacement before Friday's transfer deadline.

Leonard won the Player of the Season award three times at Southend.
