Championship trio keen on Iceland striker Vidar Orn Kjartansson?

West Bromwich Albion, Middlesbrough and Queens Park Rangers are all reportedly interested in signing Maccabi Tel Aviv forward Vidar Orn Kjartansson.

Three clubs in the Championship have reportedly identified Maccabi Tel Aviv forward Vidar Orn Kjartansson as a possible summer signing.

Kjartansson has spent the two last two seasons impressing in Israel, with 42 goals being scored in 71 appearances in all competitions.

The Iceland international still has two years remaining on his contract, but according to The Mirror, West Bromwich Albion, Middlesbrough and Queens Park Rangers are all ready to make their move.

West Brom could bring in more than £30m for Salomon Rondon and Jay Rodriguez this summer, and it would leave Darren Moore needing to find an experienced replacement.

Middlesbrough boss Tony Pulis is also considering his options - despite a number of strikers already being on the books at the Riverside Stadium - while QPR are looking to strengthen after the appointment of Steve McClaren.
