Everton boss Ronald Koeman 'on verge of losing job'

Ronald Koeman could be sacked as Everton manager if the Toffees lose at Brighton & Hove Albion in their next Premier League match, according to a report.

Ronald Koeman could reportedly be sacked as Everton manager if the Toffees lose at Brighton & Hove Albion in their next Premier League match after the international break.

Koeman brought nine new players to Goodison Park during the summer transfer window, and it had been thought that the Merseyside club would challenge for a top-four spot in the Premier League this season.

Everton have only collected seven points from their seven league games this term, however, and Sunday's 1-0 defeat at home to Burnley left the club in 16th position in the table.

The Toffees have also taken just one point from their two Europa League Group E matches this season, and according to The Sun, Koeman's position at Goodison Park is far from secure.

The report claims that the Dutchman's position will come under severe pressure if Everton lose at Brighton in their next match after the international break.

Koeman has spent more than £200m on new players during his 15 months at the club.
