How England could line up against Croatia

Ahead of England's World Cup semi-final with Croatia, Sports Mole looks at how the Three Lions could line up in Moscow.

England will play their biggest match in 28 years on Wednesday night when they take on Croatia in the semi-finals of the World Cup.

A first final since 1966 could be their prize if they overcome Zlatko Dalic's side and continue their unexpected run in Russia, which has already taken them to the last four for the first time since 1990.

Gareth Southgate named an unchanged side against Sweden in the quarter-finals and has a fully fit squad to choose from in Moscow after all 23 players trained on Tuesday morning.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how England could line up against Croatia.

The biggest fitness concern for Southgate in the wake of their quarter-final win over Sweden surrounded Jordan Henderson, who was suffering from a tight hamstring.

However, Henderson is expected to be fit in time to resume his place in the pivot and Southgate could name the same XI for a third game in a row.

Raheem Sterling was criticised for his performance in Samara but is likely to lead the line alongside Harry Kane once again, with Marcus Rashford having to make do with a place on the bench.

Jamie Vardy is also expected to be fit to feature from the bench having sat out the Sweden match through injury.
