Tottenham Hotspur may reportedly make an approach for Rangers boss Steven Gerrard if they part ways with Jose Mourinho this summer.

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has reportedly emerged as a potential managerial target for Tottenham Hotspur.

Sitting in sixth spot in the Premier League and having already been eliminated from the Europa League, Spurs could consider parting ways with Jose Mourinho in the summer.

According to 90min, Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers is Daniel Levy's first choice if he sacks the Portuguese at the end of the season.

However, the same report suggests that Gerrard is also under consideration after guiding Rangers to their first Scottish Premiership title in a decade.

While it is claimed that the Liverpool legend's relative lack of experience may count against him, alternatives need to be identified with Rodgers expected to remain with Leicester.

Having earned the Glasgow giants a return to the Champions League, Gerrard may also wish to stay at Ibrox for the foreseeable future. body check tags ::
