Manchester United 'weighing up record Paul Pogba contract offer'

:Headline: Manchester United 'weighing up record Paul Pogba contract offer':
Manchester United are reportedly weighing up a mammoth contract offer for Paul Pogba, and the club are prepared to sell him this summer if he refuses to sign it.

Manchester United are reportedly considering handing Paul Pogba a lucrative new contract in a bid to keep him on the books at Old Trafford.

The player's agent Mino Raiola claimed that the midfielder's time at Old Trafford was over last year, although he has since backtracked on those comments.

However, Pogba's contract situation at Old Trafford remains unchanged; he is due to become a free agent in 2022, and Juventus continue to be linked with a swoop for their former player in the upcoming transfer window.

As a result, The Mirror speculates that Ed Woodward is considering whether to offer Pogba a mammoth new deal at the end of the season or listen to offers for him this summer.

The report adds that allowing the 28-year-old to run down his contract is simply not an option for the club, although they have accepted that if Pogba is sold this summer, they will not garner anything close to the £89m they paid for him back in 2016.

Pogba has scored five goals and assisted four more across all competitions for United this season, and he boasts a total of 37 goals and 37 assists in 195 appearances since 2016. body check tags ::
