Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly set to increase their asking price for talisman Harry Kane to £200m in a bid to fend off interest from Premier League rivals.

The 27-year-old – who endured another trophyless campaign with Spurs – is believed to be looking for a move elsewhere this summer and is keen to stay in England.

Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea have all been heavily linked with a move to sign Kane and they are understood to be the frontrunners for his signature.

The Independent reports that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is determined to hold onto his star striker and only a world-record fee could tempt him to sell.

However, they also report that Spurs are in a difficult position financially, as the club are still paying off around £1.2bn for their new stadium which opened in September 2018.

This could potentially see the north London club reluctantly drop their current valuation of the England international if they feel his sale would help to balance their books.

Kane claimed the Premier League Golden Boot this campaign with 23 strikes and also picked up the playmaker of the year award, recording 14 assists. body check tags ::
