Thomas Tuchel has suggested that he is ready to commit to a new long-term contract with Chelsea.
The 47-year-old was appointed by the Blues in January and has enjoyed an impressive first half-season at Stamford Bridge.
As well as taking Chelsea from ninth to fourth in the Premier League and reaching the FA Cup final, where they lost 1-0 to Leicester City, Tuchel has also guided his side to the Champions League final.
Speaking ahead of Saturday evening's showdown with Manchester City in Porto, Tuchel indicated that he wants to stay on in West London beyond the end of next season, when his current deal is set to expire.
"This is very easy [to answer]," he said when asked about signing a new deal. "I'm just so happy to be here.
"I have never felt so good since I was in Mainz and this feels like the perfect place and the perfect moment.
"I'm so happy to be here, so whatever will come will come. We cannot force things, but, of course, this is my point of view and this is very clear."
Tuchel has previously admitted to being surprised at only being offered an initial 18-month contract when replacing Frank Lampard earlier this year.
The German coach has also previously been in charge of Mainz 05, Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain.
