Chelsea could rival Manchester City and Manchester United for Sporting Lisbon teenager Nuno Mendes, according to a report.

Chelsea are reportedly ready to rival domestic rivals Manchester City and Manchester United for the signature of Sporting Lisbon teenager Nuno Mendes.

The 18-year-old enjoyed an impressive 2020-21 season for his Portuguese club, scoring once and providing two assists in 35 appearances in all competitions.

Both Man City and Man United are said to be interested in the left-back, who is thought to be valued by his Portuguese club in the region of £52m.

However, according to Record, Chelsea are also in the hunt for Mendes, with Sporting seemingly facing an uphill task to keep hold of the Portugal international.

The Green and Whites will be in a strong position to negotiate this summer, though, as they have the youngster on a contract until June 2025.

Real Madrid have also recently been credited with an interest in the defender. body check tags ::
