Newcastle United are reportedly keen to sign Manchester United's Donny van de Beek, Jesse Lingard, Eric Bailly and Anthony Martial during the January transfer window.

A Saudi Arabian-backed takeover of the Magpies has now been completed, and the Premier League outfit are expected to be active in the winter market, having become one of the richest clubs in the world.

According to The Mirror, Newcastle are targeting moves for Van de Beek, Lingard, Bailly and Martial at the start of 2022, with all four players expected to be available for transfer.

Van de Beek and Bailly have struggled for action at Old Trafford this term, and the former in particular is believed to be determined to secure a move away in the next transfer window.

Lingard, meanwhile, is still struggling to break into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's first XI, and the England international's contract with the Red Devils is due to expire next June.

Martial also continues to be strongly linked with a move away, as the Frenchman has fallen down the pecking order in terms of the centre-forward spot since Cristiano Ronaldo's return to the club.

Newcastle are also allegedly preparing to relieve Steve Bruce of his managerial duties. body check tags ::
