A peak of over 21 million people tune in to the BBC to watch England thrash Ukraine in Rome as the Three Lions book a place in the semi-finals of Euro 2020.

England's thrashing of Ukraine in the Euro 2020 quarter-finals last night brought in the tournament's biggest ratings to date, according to overnight figures from BARB.

The Three Lions took the lead with just three minutes on the clock in Rome courtesy of skipper Harry Kane, who also contributed the third in between Harry Maguire's header and Jordan Henderson's first international goal.

Coverage of the game was broadcast by BBC One, averaging an impressive 15.00m (67.7%) between 7pm and 10.30pm, with the game itself averaging 19.82m (78.7%).

The peak of 21.10m (81.7%) came at 9.29pm just as Henderson rounded off the scoring - beating the 20.6m peak for England's win over Germany last week.

Overnight ratings figures do not take into account viewers who watched the game in pubs, bars or other non-household settings.
