Richard Curtis working on Mr Bean revival?
Richard Curtis says that he is thinking on reviving Mr Bean for new material.

Mr Bean co-creator Richard Curtis has suggested that he is working on a revival of the much-loved comedy.

The character, played by Rowan Atkinson, first debuted more than 30 years ago in a TV series that ran to just 15 episodes and spawned two big-screen outings - 1997's Bean: The Movie and 2007's Mr Bean's Holiday.

Atkinson has since reprised the role for a number of one-off sketches and commercials but Curtis has now said that he is looking at the idea of bringing back Bean for a more substantial outing.

The screenwriter is quoted by The Sun as saying: "Old Bean is what we're now thinking of doing."

The news of a potential revival comes just days after Atkinson hinted that he has retired the character.
