Watford manager Marco Silva: 'We never lost focus'

Watford manager Marco Silva praises his players for 'never losing focus and belief' against Swansea City, as a last-gasp Richarlison goal earned them all three points.

Marco Silva has admitted that he is "really happy" with Watford's 2-1 win over Swansea City after seeing his side score in the last minute of play.

The Hornets were pegged back at the Liberty Stadium against a below-par Swans side, only for Brazil youngster Richarlison to pop up late on to earn all three points.

Watford have now won three successive away matches in the top flight for the first time in their history, but Silva was particularly pleased with the way in which his side bounced back from last week's 6-0 home thrashing at the hands of Manchester City.

"I am really happy with the result. It's a third victory away and that's the first time in the history of our club," he told Sky Sports News. "This is really important for us and it's a good reaction from the last match as well.

"In the last minutes we scored and it shows to me our players never lose the focus and belief. Every time this is important, and we are lucky in this instance, but when you believe, anything can happen. Everybody is together and we must continue this way. It's only the sixth league game but it's great to get important wins like today."

Watford, who last picked up victory away at Swansea in February 1983, are now sixth in the Premier League table with 11 points from their first six games.
