Inter Milan president Erick Thohir reveals interest in Arsenal's Mesut Ozil

Inter Milan president Erick Thohir reveals that the club are considering a January move for Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil.

Inter Milan president Erick Thohir has revealed that Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil is on the club's radar ahead of the January transfer window.

Ozil has less than a year remaining on his contract at the Emirates Stadium and if that continues to be the case at the start of 2018, the playmaker will be able to speak to foreign clubs over a potential move.

Inter are in the process of trying to bulk up their squad to try to finish in the top three of the Serie A table at the end of the campaign, and Thohir has acknowledged that making an approach for Ozil is under consideration.

Thohir is quoted by Metronews.tv.com as saying: "[Ozil] is definitely one of those players we are looking at but the last January signings of [Lukas] Podolski and [Xherdan] Shaqiri proves winter signings can fail to live up to expectations."

The 28-year-old has also been linked with a switch to Manchester United, while Fenerbahce are said to hold an interest in a speculative move for the German international.

Ozil is yet to contribute a goal or assist in 367 minutes of Premier League action with the Gunners this season.
