Saturday's Championship predictions including Watford vs. Norwich

:Headline: Saturday's Championship predictions including Watford vs. Norwich: ID:496932: from db_amp
Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Championship fixtures, including Watford vs. Norwich.

Luton vs. QPR (Saturday, 12.30pm)

Luton Town and Queens Park Rangers both head into Saturday's lunchtime Championship clash having remained unbeaten in their last five matches.

The visitors will be looking to record a fourth successive victory, although Luton can move three points behind their forthcoming opponents in the table with a win.

We say: Luton Town 1-1 Queens Park Rangers

We can envisage a closely-fought encounter between two competitive teams on Saturday, with a share of the spoils probably the most likely outcome.

Both teams have been impressive defensively of late so they could struggle to create chances against each other, especially with Willock's potential absence for the visitors.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Rotherham vs. Huddersfield (Saturday, 12.30pm)

Rotherham United host Huddersfield Town in the Championship on Saturday lunchtime.

New Rotherham head coach Matt Taylor is searching for his first win at the club, whereas Mark Fotheringham managed his maiden victory with Huddersfield last time out against Hull City.

We say: Rotherham United 1-2 Huddersfield Town

Rotherham boast a decent home record so far this year, but are sliding down the Championship table following the departure of Paul Warne.

Huddersfield have the worst away record in the division but look improved under the new management, and a trip to face the stuttering Millers could be where the Terriers pick up their first victory on the road this season.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Bristol City vs. Millwall (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Both hoping to build on victories last time out, Bristol City and Millwall will do battle at Ashton Gate on Saturday.

The hosts climbed back up to 11th spot with a return to winning ways against Preston North End on Wednesday, while their visitors sit 15th after beating Middlesbrough last weekend.

We say: Bristol City 2-1 Millwall

Bristol City's record suggests there should certainly be goals in Saturday's contest, and with home advantage and confidence from an Ashton Gate victory in midweek, we see them edging the three points.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Burnley vs. Swansea (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Burnley and Swansea City head into Saturday's fixture at Turf Moor with both clubs occupying a place in the top six of the Championship standings.

While the Clarets have featured in the playoff spots for much of the campaign, Swansea are the newcomers to the promotion race after four successive victories.

We say: Burnley 1-1 Swansea City

With this being a meeting with two of the form teams in the division, we are expecting a highly-competitive contest. While Swansea are enjoying their best-ever run under Martin, we cannot ignore the amount of draws that Burnley have recorded this campaign, leading us to predict a share of the spoils.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Cardiff vs. Coventry (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Cardiff City play host to Coventry City on Saturday afternoon looking to extend their unbeaten streak in the Championship to three matches.

At a time when the Bluebirds have moved into the top half of the standings, Coventry remain bottom and six points adrift of safety.

We say: Cardiff City 2-1 Coventry City

Although Hudson is currently in line to remain in charge of Cardiff on a full-time basis, that could change with a couple of defeats. Coventry are capable of causing a surprise in South Wales, but we are backing the Bluebirds to edge a hard-fought battle.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Middlesbrough vs. Blackburn (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Both teams will be looking to bounce back from defeat last time out when Middlesbrough host Blackburn Rovers in the Championship on Saturday.

The hosts are languishing in 21st place heading into the weekend, but Blackburn are only outside of the playoff places on goal difference.

We say: Middlesbrough 1-0 Blackburn Rovers

We can envisage a tight game between these teams, with neither heading into the encounter in good form at all despite Blackburn's superior position in the table.

Both sides generally line-up in 3-5-2 formations, which could make it difficult to find space in between the lines for the more talented players on the pitch, potentially favouring Middlesbrough in front of their home support.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Preston vs. Stoke (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Alex Neil takes Stoke City to play his former club Preston North End with the opportunity to move ahead of Saturday's hosts in the Championship standings.

Nevertheless, as it stands, nine places separate the teams in the table, with Preston having a second chance this week to move into the playoff spots.

We say: Preston North End 1-1 Stoke City

Even though there have been goals aplenty in Preston's last two fixtures, that does not stop us from feeling that this may not be the most entertaining of affairs. With that in mind, we can only predict a low-scoring draw, a result which would not necessarily suit either side.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Reading vs. West Brom (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Reading play host to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday afternoon looking to bounce back from two matches without a victory in the Championship.

Nevertheless, the Royals remain in fifth position in the standings at a time when their opponents are managerless and sitting in the relegation zone.

We say: Reading 2-1 West Bromwich Albion

With West Brom now under temporary management, anything can happen given the quality within their squad. However, we cannot back against Reading on home turf, leading us to predict a relatively comfortable win for the Royals which may be made to look closer by a late consolation goal.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Sheff Utd vs. Blackpool (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Hoping to put an end to a three-game winless run, Championship leaders Sheffield United will welcome Blackpool to Bramall Lane on Saturday.

The Blades have picked up just one point from their three league outings since the recent international break, while their visitors arrive on the back of a confidence-boosting triumph over Watford.

We say: Sheffield United 2-1 Blackpool

Sheffield United are far from their best with an unenviable list of key players missing, but with the return of McBurnie and the incentive of clinging on to top spot, the Blades should have just enough to scrape over the line and put their tough spell behind them.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Sunderland vs. Wigan (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Seeking to avoid a fifth successive Championship game without a win, Sunderland welcome Wigan Athletic to the Stadium of Light on Saturday afternoon.

Last season's top two in League One will be meeting for the first time in the second tier since the 2004-05 campaign, which saw the Black Cats win the title and the Latics finish runners-up.

We say: Sunderland 1-1 Wigan Athletic

A closely-fought contest between two evenly-matched sides is set to take place this weekend, with Sunderland looking to end a poor run of form in front of over 35,000 fans at the Stadium of Light.

Wigan will be motivated by the prospect of climbing into the playoffs with a victory, but we can see the hosts earning a hard-fought draw on this occasion.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Watford vs. Norwich (Saturday, 7.45pm)

Watford host Norwich City in the Championship on Saturday night.

Both sides come into this clash following disappointing defeats in their last league fixtures and will be keen to get their promotion charges back on track.

We say: Watford 1-1 Norwich City

Both sides have a host of attacking quality which suggests this clash could be an entertaining one between two promotion-chasing clubs.

Norwich have had the better start to the season but you expect Watford to move up the table as Slaven Bilic puts his imprint onto his team, which could start with a point at home this weekend.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.
