Livingston have signed of former Rangers wideman Gregg Wylde on an 18-month deal.

The 27-year-old was released by Plymouth earlier this week but has wasted little time securing his return to Scotland.

Wylde kicked off his career at Ibrox and has since gone on to have spells at Bolton, Aberdeen and St Mirren as well as two stints with the Pilgrims.

He has already joined Gary Holt's squad on their winter break in Portugal and the Lions boss told his club's website: "Davie Martindale and I have been working hard to get Gregg in and I'm delighted we have managed to so.

"Gregg is a great addition to our squad and will give us options going forward.

"We think we can get him playing consistently at a good level week in, week out. He has a great left foot and will bring a lot of experience to the squad and can play a few positions.

"Gregg will no doubt enhance our squad and help us all kick on for our push to finish as high as possible in the Ladbrokes Premiership."
