Mohamed Salah provides injury update ahead of World Cup

Mohamed Salah is remaining positive on his comeback from a shoulder injury, with Egypt's World Cup campaign beginning in less than two weeks.

Liverpool and Egypt forward Mohamed Salah has posted a positive update on social media as he continues to recover from a shoulder injury.

The 25-year-old sustained the damage in his club side's 3-1 defeat to Real Madrid in last week's Champions League final, initially putting his World Cup participation in doubt.

Egypt are hopeful that Salah will be able to play some part in the group stage, though, and the Premier League's Golden Boot winner for 2017-18 also appears to be confident of making a swifter-than-expected return.

Alongside a photograph of him using a resistance band for his arms and shoulders, Salah posted the caption "good feelings".

Egypt's opening World Cup match is against Uruguay in 12 days' time, before games against Russia and Saudi Arabia on June 19 and June 25 respectively.
