Lyon forward Nabil Fekir has reportedly undergone his medical ahead of a proposed move to Liverpool, despite the French club insisting that a deal has not been agreed.

Widespread reports last night claimed that Fekir was on the verge of completing his switch to Anfield in a deal thought to be worth £53m.

However, Lyon poured major doubt over the transfer this morning by "categorically denying" that any agreement was in place between the two clubs.

Despite that, RMC reports that Fekir underwent his medical in Clairefontaine this morning and is now awaiting the results before official confirmation of the deal is announced.

Liverpool are still expected to complete the transfer today despite Lyon's denial, with the 24-year-old understood to be desperate to join Jurgen Klopp's side.
