Chelsea 'exploring Tiemoue Bakayoko, Franck Kessie swap deal'

By , Senior Reporter | 4d
Chelsea reportedly want AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie in exchange for Tiemoue Bakayoko, who is keen to turn his loan at San Siro into a permanent deal.

Chelsea are reportedly trying to sign Franck Kessie from AC Milan as part of a swap deal that would see Tiemoue Bakayoko join the Italian club on a permanent basis.

Bakayoko is spending 2018-19 on loan at San Siro after failing to adapt to the Premier League during his one and only season in West London.

The French midfielder has improved at Milan following a slow start to his loan spell and recently admitted that he 'dreams' of staying on beyond the end of the season.

Sporting director Leonardo says that the club will only be able to afford Bakayoko if they qualify for the Champions League, but The Express claims that Chelsea are willing to negotiate terms with the fallen Serie A giants.

Chelsea will allow the flop midfielder to join Milan full-time if Kessie, a long-term target for the Blues, heads the opposite way.

The report suggests that the Rossoneri will consider the arrangement as it will help them to comply with UEFA's Financial Fair Play regulations, which has forced their hand in the transfer market.
