Chelsea loanee Tiemoue Bakayoko hopes to stay at AC Milan

By , Football League Correspondent | 4d
Tiemoue Bakayoko says that it would be a "dream" to turn his loan move from Chelsea to AC Milan into a permanent deal in the summer.

Tiemoue Bakayoko has admitted that he wants to stay on at AC Milan once his loan spell from Chelsea expires in the summer.

The French midfielder struggled to settle in West London during his maiden campaign with the Blues and has spent the last five months at San Siro.

Following a slow start to his Milan career, Bakayoko has produced some good displays of late and there is talk of a permanent arrangement being reached between the Rossoneri and Chelsea.

Milan must pay around £31m to sign the 24-year-old at the end of the season, which sporting director Leonardo recently revealed the club will only be able to afford if they qualify for the Champions League.

Bakayoko has made it clear that it would be a "dream" to remain in Milan, telling Corriere dello Sport: "I heard what Leonardo said, but I'm not in a position to talk about it.

"It's an issue that concerns Milan and Chelsea. Staying at Milan is my dream and the fixed thought in my mind, but I have a contract with Chelsea. Right now I just want to finish the season in the top four. After that we'll think about it."

Bakayoko has featured in 15 of fourth-placed Milan's 21 Serie A matches this term.
