Saturday's Championship predictions including Sheff Utd vs. Blackburn

:Headline: Saturday's Championship predictions including Sheff Utd vs. Blackburn: ID:492569: from db_amp
Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Championship fixtures, including Sheffield United vs. Blackburn Rovers.

Birmingham vs. Wigan (Saturday, 3.00pm)

With just one win between them at the start of the new season, Birmingham City and Wigan Athletic clash at St Andrew's, with both sides keen to claim maximum points.

While the hosts have taken just a point from two Championship games since going out of the EFL Cup, their visitors are yet to taste victory since winning promotion from League One.

We say: Birmingham City 1-1 Wigan Athletic

As Birmingham have been quite resolute so far, conceding only three goals in four league games, they should be able to keep Wigan largely at bay for 90 minutes. However, their own struggle for fluency up front could result in them being forced to settle for a draw.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Burnley vs. Blackpool (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Hoping to put an end to a three-game winless run in the Championship, Burnley will welcome Blackpool to Turf Moor on Saturday in the fifth round of league fixtures in the new season.

The Clarets played out a 1-1 draw with Hull City on Tuesday, after a defeat to Watford, while their visitors make the trip on the back of a midweek win away at Queens Park Rangers.

We say: Burnley 2-1 Blackpool

While Burnley are yet to establish their dominance in the Championship under Kompany's new style and Blackpool will travel with confidence after an impressive away win in midweek, we still fancy the hosts to take all three points.

The Clarets should have slightly too much for their visitors, particularly with Appleton dealing with a depleted squad.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Preston vs. Watford (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Preston North End and Watford will both fight to continue their unbeaten starts to the Championship season on Saturday, when they do battle at Deepdale.

The visitors have won two and drawn two of their opening four games after dropping to England's second tier, while their hosts are two points worse off having played out their third draw of the campaign on Tuesday.

We say: Preston North End 0-1 Watford

While Watford boast a stronger squad than their opponents on paper, Preston are yet to concede in six hours of league football this season, and Saturday will certainly not be an easy victory for the Hornets.

We do, however, see them having enough to break down their opponents and return home with all three points.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

QPR vs. Rotherham (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Queens Park Rangers will look to bounce back from a midweek defeat to Blackpool when they play host to Rotherham United in the Championship on Saturday.

While the R's have lost twice this term, Rotherham enter the weekend contest still unbeaten in all competitions.

We say: Queens Park Rangers 2-2 Rotherham United

QPR are winless in their last three competitive games, and we think that they will have to settle for a point when they face a Rotherham side who are yet to lose this season.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Reading vs. Middlesbrough (Saturday, 3.00pm)

After beating Blackburn Rovers 3-0 in midweek, Reading will look to claim consecutive victories when they welcome Middlesbrough to Berkshire on Saturday.

The visitors, on the other hand, are still waiting for their first win of the season after drawing three of their opening four league games.

We say: Reading 2-2 Middlesbrough

Although Middlesbrough are winless this season, they have only lost one of their four league games, but we think that their wait for a win will continue past the weekend.

We believe that a Reading side that have won both home league games this season may fall short in their quest for victory, however, we expect the Royals to still take a point from Saturday's encounter.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.

Sheff Utd vs. Blackburn (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Two sides enjoying relatively positive starts to the Championship season will do battle on Saturday, as Sheffield United welcome Blackburn Rovers to Bramall Lane.

The Blades posted their second league victory of the season last time out against Sunderland, while their visitors suffered a defeat to Reading on Wednesday after winning their first three outings in England's tier.

We say: Sheffield United 2-1 Blackburn Rovers

Saturday's contest should certainly be an intriguing one, given Blackburn's positive start and the Blades' growing momentum, and the form Heckingbottom's side have displayed on home turf this calendar year tips the balance in their favour in our eyes.

Sheffield United boast quality all over the pitch and have the tools to hurt their visitors, who should also cause problems but may be overpowered at Bramall Lane.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 2.5 goals.

Stoke vs. Sunderland (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Sunderland will look to bounce back from a midweek defeat to Sheffield United when they travel to the bet365 stadium to face Stoke City on Saturday.

The hosts, meanwhile, will try to build upon a 2-2 draw against Middlesbrough, which required a stoppage-time equaliser from D'Margio Wright-Phillips.

We say: Stoke City 1-1 Sunderland

Although Stoke have only collected four points this season, they are unbeaten in their last four home league games, and we think they will extend that run by playing out a score draw with Sunderland.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.

Swansea vs. Luton (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Seeking to pick up their first win of the season and finally get their Championship campaign up and running, Luton Town visit the Liberty Stadium to face Swansea City on Saturday.

The Swans, who have failed to taste victory at home in six consecutive league games, claiming four draws and losing twice, will be looking to give their fans something to cheer about this weekend.

We say: Swansea City 2-1 Luton Town

Following Tuesday's disappointing result, Swansea will head into the weekend looking to deliver an immediate response. The Swans take on a floundering Luton Town side who are yet to find their feet this season and we are backing them to come away with a slender victory in front of the home crowd.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 2.5 goals.

West Brom vs. Hull City (Saturday, 3.00pm)

West Bromwich Albion will continue their search for a first win of the Championship season on Saturday, when they take on Hull City at the Hawthorns.

The Baggies have amassed just three points from their first four matches, while the visitors have made a far more impressive start with two victories and two draws.

We say: West Bromwich Albion 1-1 Hull City

An intriguing encounter is in store at the Hawthorns as a struggling West Bromwich Albion side look to put up a first league win of the season against Hull, who arrive with plenty of confidence.

While we do not see Arveladze's men cruising to victory away from home, they should have enough quality to match the Baggies and leave with a share of the spoils.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.
