Harry Kane became the first English player to score 10 goals in a single Champions League season, as he netted in Bayern Munich's 2-0 win away at Bayer Leverkusen.
The first half was a tight affair, as Bayern were denied a penalty by the referee and then VAR, after Kane went to ground under the challenge of Jonathan Tah.
Kane then forced a good save out of Lukas Hradecky, before Patrik Schick's header was the best effort of the half from the hosts, as the two sides went into the break goalless.
Goals from Kane and Alphonso Davies in the second half put the game beyond any doubt, as the visitors saw out a professional performance in style.
SPORTS MOLE'S VERDICT
With a massive deficit to overturn from the first leg, Leverkusen's chances of progressing tonight were always slim.
They needed a goal in the first half to have any real hope, and they struggled to create many clear chances throughout the game.
It always felt as though Bayern were in control of the tie, even at 0-0 on the night, and once Kane increased the aggregate scoreline further, the rest of the game felt like a breeze for the visitors.
Davies added further gloss to the scoreline with the second of the evening, as Bayern coasted through to the quarter-finals in style.
Leverkusen were so open throughout the second half, and it could have easily been more had the woodwork not saved the hosts multiple times, with Jamal Musiala desperately unlucky not to score on the evening.
Nobody could fault Leverkusen's effort on the night, but they were outclassed by the same side that are comfortably ahead of them in the Bundesliga standings too.
