Channel 4 has announced a new four-part documentary set at a service station near the Lake District.
Services to the Lake District will follow the comings and goings at Tebay Service Station, often named as one of the most scenic stop-off points in the UK.
The UK's only family-run service station welcomes 4.5 million visitors every year and has become a lifeline to the local community of Cumbrian farmers, who trade their artisan produce at the station.
Describing the new show, Channel 4 said: "Showcasing the stunning scenery of the Lake District and covering the stories of local traders and farmers for whom the M6 motorway and the service station is vital for their livelihoods, the series will provide an intimate insight into the rural community life of Cumbria and its relationship to the wider world along the M6 motorway at a time of increased uncertainty."
The documentary is expected to air on Channel 4 in early 2021.
