Jordan North, Vernon Kay and Beverley Callard collect all 10 stars on offer in the first eating challenge of this year's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

Jordan North, Vernon Kay and Beverley Callard have taken on the first eating challenge of this year's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, successfully winning all 10 stars on offer.

In 'Frights of the Round Table', each of the celebs had to eat two disgusting dishes, with the other four being decided at random by the spin of a sword.

Vernon successfully munched his way through lamb's brain but struggled when it came to a deer's testicle, having to eat a second one after initially giving up on the first.

As a vegan, Beverley was presented with a selection of foul-smelling and tasting dishes, including vomit fruit, fermented tofu and fermented plums, the latter prompting her to remark: "They tasted like old socks with vinegar on."

Jordan successfully struggled through a goat's eye, fermented catfish and sheep's penis, while Vernon followed up his earlier meals with a cow's teat and Jordan rounded things off with a cow's tongue.

"I'm really proud," Beverley said in the Telegraph afterwards. "I couldn't have chosen two better blokes to do it with - they looked after me and I loved it."

As a reward for the clean sweep the camp was provided with quail and garlic for dinner.

I'm A Celebrity continues tomorrow night at 9pm on ITV.
