Craig Parkinson, aka 'The Caddy' from Line of Duty, is to host a BBC Sounds podcast accompanying the new series.

Craig Parkinson, known for playing double-crosser 'The Caddy' in Line of Duty, is to host a BBC Sounds podcast about the show.

Obsessed with... Line of Duty will accompany the upcoming sixth series of the twisty drama, which begins on BBC One on Sunday, March 21.

In the podcast Parkinson, whose character was killed off at the end of series three, will interview cast members, discuss fan theories about what will happen next and speak to celebrity fans of the show.

"Returning to the world of Line Of Duty, this time as a podcast host, is very exciting," said Parkinson.

"I'm looking forward to chatting with some fantastic guests, cast members old and new and getting as frustrated as everyone else trying to work out where AC-12 are taking us this season.

"As someone who's been deep on the inside, I'm well aware we'll be in for a rollercoaster ride and hosting the podcast side by side, week by week, we'll be able to delve deep into the files and fan theories of AC-12. Hold tight team!"

New episodes of the podcast will be made available on BBC Sounds every Sunday night after the show airs on BBC One.
