Tottenham Hotspur consider a £20m bid for Napoli defender Elseid Hysaj, according to a report.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly weighing up a £20m bid for Napoli defender Elseid Hysaj.

The 25-year-old, who has made 170 appearances for Gli Azzurri since a 2015 switch from Empoli, has entered the final two years of his contract in Naples, and there have been suggestions that the Albania captain could move on before this summer's transfer window slams shut.

According to The Mirror, Tottenham are ready to compete with Roma and Juventus for Hysaj, who could be available for around £20m.

Mauricio Pochettino's side are short at right-back having sold Kieran Trippier to Atletico Madrid earlier this summer, in addition to seeing Juan Foyth pick up a potentially long-term ankle problem last week.

The 2019 Champions League finalists will face Inter Milan on Sunday afternoon in their final pre-season friendly ahead of next weekend's Premier League opener at home to Aston Villa.
