Sunday's La Liga predictions for final day including Leganes vs. Real Madrid

:Headline: Sunday's La Liga predictions for final day including Leganes vs. Real Madrid: ID:407110: from db_amp
Sports Mole provides score predictions for the final day of the La Liga season, including Leganes vs. Real Madrid and Alaves vs. Barcelona.

Alaves vs. Barcelona (Sunday, 4.00pm)

Barcelona, who conceded the La Liga title to Real Madrid on Thursday night, will round off their 2019-20 domestic campaign with a trip to Alaves on Sunday.

The Spanish champions will enter this weekend's clash off the back of a 2-1 home defeat to Osasuna, while Alaves recorded an impressive 2-1 victory away to Real Betis in their last match.

We say: Alaves 0-2 Barcelona

This match does not have anything significant riding on it, but there is no question that Barca will be determined to return to winning ways following the disappointment of the Osasuna result. Alaves are capable of causing Quique Setien's side problems, but we are fully expecting an away victory here.

Villarreal vs. Eibar (Sunday, 5.30pm)

Villarreal will be looking to secure fifth spot in Spain's top flight when they finish their 2019-20 campaign at home to Eibar on Sunday night.

The Yellow Submarine are currently fifth in the table, two points clear of sixth-placed Real Sociedad, while Eibar occupy 13th ahead of the final set of fixtures in La Liga.

We say: Villarreal 2-0 Eibar

Eibar will enter this match full of confidence following back-to-back wins, while Villarreal have lost three of their last four in the league. The Yellow Submarine played well against Real Madrid on Thursday, though, and we fancy them to guarantee fifth with a victory this weekend.

Real Valladolid vs. Real Betis (Sunday, 5.30pm)

Bottom-half sides Real Valladolid and Real Betis conclude their 2019-20 La Liga campaigns with a match at the Estadio Jose Zorrilla on Sunday evening.

Valladolid have lost three in a row but are four points clear of the dropzone, while Betis are two points and two places better off in 14th.

We say: Real Valladolid 1-1 Real Betis

Valladolid may not have the best of home records this term, winning just four times at the Estadio Jose Zorrilla, but Betis have somehow been even worse when it comes to picking up away points - just 10 from 18 matches. This may well be a classic case of two out-of-form sides cancelling each other out on the final day.

Atletico vs. Real Sociedad (Sunday, 8.00pm)

Atletico Madrid will be looking to make sure of third position in La Liga when they round off their 2019-20 campaign at home to Real Sociedad on Sunday night.

Diego Simeone's side are currently third in the table, two points ahead of fourth-placed Sevilla, while Sociedad sit sixth, two points behind fifth-placed Villarreal ahead of the final set of fixtures.

We say: Atletico 1-0 Sociedad

Atletico will be determined to make sure of third spot in the table, and we are finding it difficult to back against the hosts this weekend. Simeone's side have only lost once at the Wanda Metropolitano in the league this term, and we fancy them to edge a tight game on Sunday night.

Espanyol vs. Celta Vigo (Sunday, 8.00pm)

Celta Vigo will be looking to ensure survival in Spain's top flight when they travel to already-relegated Espanyol on the final weekend of the 2019-20 La Liga campaign.

Espanyol are rock bottom of the table and had their relegation confirmed earlier this month, but Celta are currently 17th, only a point above 18th-placed Leganes.

We say: Espanyol 1-2 Celta Vigo

Celta have only picked up two away wins in the league this season, but Espanyol have the worst home record in the division with just two victories. We are expecting a tight game at the RCDE Stadium but fancy Celta to pick up the result that they need to guarantee survival at this level of football.

Granada vs. Athletic Bilbao (Sunday, 8.00pm)

Granada and Athletic Bilbao will both endeavour to end their seasons on a high when they lock horns in the final round of La Liga fixtures on Sunday.

Granada currently lie ninth on 53 points, whereas Athletic are only one place and two points below their opponents heading into the final day of the season.

We say: Granada 3-2 Athletic Bilbao

Even if there is a victor in this match, it may not make a difference to their European hopes depending on results elsewhere. Both sides will be going all out for the win regardless, and that should make for an enticing affair, and we are backing Granada to just edge it and end their memorable season on a high note.

Leganes vs. Real Madrid (Sunday, 8.00pm)

La Liga champions Real Madrid will round off their 2019-20 domestic campaign on Sunday night with a trip to Leganes, who are still in with a chance of avoiding relegation from Spain's top flight.

Madrid beat Villarreal on Thursday night to secure their 34th La Liga title, while Leganes occupy 18th position in the table, just a point behind 17th-placed Celta Vigo ahead of Sunday's fixtures.

We say: Leganes 0-2 Real Madrid

Leganes deserve huge credit for even giving themselves a chance of avoiding the drop, but we are struggling to see a home victory this weekend, even taking into account the fact that Madrid have already won the title. The capital giants have been so strong since the restart, and we are backing a routine away success here.

Levante vs. Getafe (Sunday, 8.00pm)

Europa League hopefuls Getafe will be aiming to end a poor run of form in La Liga when they travel to Levante for the final day of the 2019-20 campaign.

In contrast, Levante currently occupy 12th spot in the table and realistically have little to play for heading into Sunday's clash.

We say: Levante 0-1 Getafe

Getafe must come away with all three points to ensure that they have something to show for their disappointing second half of the season. Levante's campaign is all but over and there is nothing but pride at stake for the hosts, so we are backing Getafe to record a narrow victory and book their spot in Europe.

Osasuna vs. Mallorca (Sunday, 8.00pm)

Mid-table Osasuna play host to already-relegated Mallorca in the final round of La Liga fixtures at the El Sadar Stadium this Sunday.

Osasuna ended Barcelona's title hopes in midweek with a 2-1 victory over the Catalan giants, whereas Mallorca's relegation was confirmed following a 2-1 loss to Granada.

We say: Osasuna 2-0 Mallorca

Both teams will already be looking ahead to their respective 2020-21 campaigns, which could lead to some complacency creeping in on the final day. Mallorca will want to end their season strongly despite already being down and out, but Osasuna have been in fine form since the restart and we expect the home side to record a routine victory this weekend.

Sevilla vs. Valencia (Sunday, 8.00pm)

Valencia need to beat Sevilla on the final day and hope that other results go their way if they are to secure a top-seven finish in La Liga.

Los Che are one point behind Getafe in the final Europa League spot, while opponents Sevilla are already assured of Champions League football next season.

We say: Sevilla 3-2 Valencia

Sevilla are unbeaten in their last 10 home league matches, while Valencia are winless in 10 on their travels. The two previous final-day clashes between the sides were high-scoring affairs and we can see this one going the same way.
