How Barcelona could line up against Alaves

:Headline: How Barcelona could line up against Alaves:
Sports Mole looks at how Barcelona could line up in Sunday's La Liga clash against Alaves.

Barcelona will be looking to round off their 2019-20 La Liga season with a win when they travel to Alaves on Sunday.

The Catalan giants conceded the title to Real Madrid on Thursday, suffering a 2-1 home defeat to Osasuna, while Zinedine Zidane's side ran out 2-1 winners over Villarreal.

Barca will be keen to return to winning ways on Sunday as their season is not finished after this weekend.

Indeed, Quique Setien's side will take on Napoli in the second leg of their last-16 Champions League clash on August 8, and the tie is delicately poised courtesy of a 1-1 draw in the first leg in February.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how the visitors could line up on Sunday.

Out: Ousmane Dembele (hamstring), Gerard Pique (banned), Ivan Rakitic (banned), Junior Firpo (banned)
Doubtful: Samuel Umtiti (knee), Antoine Griezmann (thigh)

Barca will again be without the services of Ousmane Dembele due to a long-term hamstring injury, while both Samuel Umtiti and Antoine Griezmann are again expected to miss out with knee and thigh problems respectively.

Griezmann could be back for the Champions League clash with Napoli, although it is unclear when Umtiti might be able to return from a troublesome knee issue.

The Catalan giants also have three players suspended in the shape of Gerard Pique, Ivan Rakitic and Junior Firpo, meaning that there could be a spot in central defence for Ronald Araujo.

Araujo, Ansu Fati and Riqui Puig have actually been prevented from turning out for Barcelona B in their Segunda Division B playoff against Real Valladolid's B team this weekend as they are needed in the first team, and it would not be a surprise to see all three in the starting XI.

Indeed, Araujo could feature alongside Clement Lenglet in central defence, with Puig and Fati in midfield and attack respectively.

Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba and Luis Suarez should all return to the starting XI, although Frenkie de Jong could again be used off the bench as he continues his recovery from a calf problem. body check tags ::
