Elliot Page has given his first major interview since coming out as transgender last year.
The 34-year-old star of X-Men and Juno made the announcement on social media in December and now, in an in-depth piece with TIME, he has revealed that he was recovering from top surgery in Toronto at the time.
Speaking about his top surgery, which is a procedure undertaken by transgender men to remove breast tissue, Page told the magazine: "It has completely transformed my life.
"I'm really excited to act, now that I'm fully who I am, in this body.
"No matter the challenges and difficult moments of this, nothing amounts to getting to feel how I feel now."
Page is currently filming the third season of Netflix series The Umbrella Academy, due for release in early 2022.
