New streaming service Peacock officially launches on Sky in the UK and Ireland.

Peacock has officially launched on Sky and NOW TV in the UK and Ireland today.

The streaming service - from Sky's sister company NBCUniversal - offers a library of thousands of hours of original and archive programming at no additional cost to Sky subscribers.

Titles on offer at launch include the Saved By The Bell reboot, Rutherford Falls and Vanderpump Rules, as well as boxsets such as The Office USA, Will & Grace, Friday Night Lights, Heroes and Battlestar Galactica.

Sky Q customers can access Peacock content through the voice-controlled remote, in the 'Apps' section or via the 'On demand' section, while Sky+ customers can access the content as they would any other on-demand programming.

Similarly, Peacock content is available via Sky Channels on Sky Go, but the service has not yet launched on Sky's new integrated TV product Sky Glass.

Zai Bennett, MD of content for Sky in the UK and Ireland, said: "The introduction of Peacock content on Sky and NOW will expand the incredible lineup available to all our customers, giving them access to even more of the best entertainment from our partners at NBCUniversal.

"With brand new Peacock Originals, must-watch reality and hit library series we couldn't be more excited to add Peacock for all our customers, at no extra cost."

Peacock will be introduced into other Sky territories, including Germany, Italy, Austria and Switzerland, over the coming months.
