Ruben Neves: 'Leaving Wolverhampton Wanderers would be a risk'

Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Ruben Neves reiterates that he has no plans to leave Molineux, claiming that it would be "a risk" to leave the Championship winners.

Midfielder Ruben Neves has said that he has "no reason" to consider leaving Wolverhampton Wanderers.

After starring for the West Midlands outfit in the Championship, Neves has been linked with a switch to a top European club with Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur said to hold an interest.

However, Neves has always said that he wants to remain at Wolves, and the Portuguese has claimed that he does not want to take any 'risks' with his career by moving away from Molineux.

The 21-year-old told O Jogo: "Right now it's not good for me to risk a way out. I feel very good at Wolverhampton, I have no reason to leave because I'm going to play in the best league in the world.

"The fans already know me, the club too and everyone knows what I can do for the club. I spent a great year there and I love playing at Wolverhampton. Therefore, I have no interest in going out, because it's the best for me and for my future.

"I came to evolve as a player and now that I'm maybe in the best phase of my career it would be a very big risk changing club. This is the right path."

Neves still has just over four years remaining on his contract with Wolves.
