Stoke City 'keen on Everton's Ashley Williams'

Stoke City are linked with a summer move for Everton defender Ashley Williams.

Stoke City are allegedly planning to table a summer bid for Everton defender Ashley Williams.

Potters boss Gary Rowett is ready to offer the out-of-favour Welshman an exit route from Goodison Park, reports The Guardian.

Williams suffered bouts of poor form with Everton last season and was eventually dropped by former manager Sam Allardyce.

New Toffees boss Marco Silva is said to be keen to recruit a new centre-back this summer, and Williams is one of several players he has been tipped to offload.

Ramiro Funes Mori and Wayne Rooney are the latest players to leave Goodison Park during the summer transfer window.
