Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior has stated that he wants to sign a new deal "as soon as possible" despite being linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League.
The Brazil international has over two years left to run on his current Real Madrid contract which will expire in the summer of 2027.
Vinicius has previously spoken of his desire to extend his successful association with the reigning European champions, although his future has still been the subject of speculation due to reported interest from Saudi Arabia.
Last month, it was reported that clubs from the Saudi Pro League are willing to offer Vinicius a monumental five-year contract worth €1bn (£830m).
Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has insisted that he is not concerned about rumours linking the attacker with a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu.
Vinicius reveals Real Madrid contract wish
Speaking in a press conference on Monday, Vinicius reiterated his desire to sign a new contract, explaining that he is in the best place for his career.
"I'm very calm because I have a contract until 2027 and let's hope we can renew my contract as soon as possible," Vinicius told reporters ahead of Tuesday's Champions League first leg against rivals Atletico Madrid.
"I'm happy here, playing with the best players in the world, the best coach, the best president [Florentino Perez], where everyone loves me. I couldn't be anywhere better than here."
Vinicius has won multiple honours since joining the club from Flamengo in the summer of 2018, including three La Liga titles and two Champions League trophies.
Vinicius living "dream" at Real Madrid
The Brazilian made his 300th Real Madrid appearance in Saturday's 2-1 defeat to Real Betis, marking a significant milestone in his career with Los Blancos.
"My child dream was to make it here," Vinicius added. "Now I have managed to make it to here, I am writing my story.
"I have won but I can still win much more and make it into the history of the club. That is very complicated because many good players have been here, legends, and I want to be just like them."
Vinicius has scored 17 goals and provided 12 assists in 35 competitive appearances this season, including seven goals and three assists in eight Champions League appearances. body check tags ::
