Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale is reportedly refusing to leave the club, despite Zinedine Zidane's latest snub.

Gareth Bale has reportedly told his teammates that he is happy to stay at Real Madrid and play golf if he is not part of Zinedine Zidane's plans.

The Wales international has been snubbed by Zidane over the past few weeks, having been left out of the squad entirely for a couple of matches and then kept on the bench against Real Betis on Sunday.

Bale made his way straight down the tunnel after the 2-0 loss to Betis in Madrid's final match of a terrible campaign without acknowledging the home supporters.

Speaking after the match, Zidane appeared to suggest that the 29-year-old is part of Madrid's past as he prepares to freshen up his squad.

However, Spanish radio station Radioestadio claims that Bale has no intention of quitting the Bernabeu as he is happy to sit in the reserves and continue picking up his £15m-a-season wages.

Keylor Navas appears certain to be on his way out of Madrid, meanwhile, having been given a chance to say farewell to supporters on Sunday.
