Manchester City reportedly face competition from Bayern Munich for the signing of Atletico Madrid midfielder Rodri.

The Citizens have been tipped to go all out to land the 22-year-old, possibly using striker Gabriel Jesus as leverage to push through a deal.

Having already missed out on a few possible replacements for the ageing Fernandinho, the Citizens are said to be desperate to win the race for Rodri.

Spanish publication AS claims that Bayern are also looking to persuade the Spain international to link up with them, however, as they attempt to overhaul their squad.

Rodri is said to have a £62m release clause in his Atletico contract and Bayern are weighing up whether to trigger it.

The German champions have also confirmed their interest in Man City wideman Leroy Sane, while RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner is another target.
