Vinicius Junior will be bidding to help Real Madrid return to winning ways in La Liga on Sunday afternoon, when Girona make the trip to the reigning Spanish champions.

The 24-year-old has again been in impressive form for Los Blancos during the 2024-25 campaign, scoring 16 goals and registering 12 assists in 32 appearances in all competitions.

Vinicius has eight goals and seven assists in 18 La Liga matches this term, and he will be looking to inspire Carlo Ancelotti's side to all three points in this weekend's contest with Girona.

Here, Sports Mole takes a look at how the Brazilian has performed against the White and Reds during his professional career, with all of his outings versus the Catalan side coming during his time at Bernabeu.

Vinicius has faced Girona on seven occasions during his time at Real Madrid, boasting a record of four wins, one draw and two defeats, scoring three times and providing six assists in the process.

The forward's first-ever experience of facing Girona actually ended in a defeat, with Real Madrid losing 2-1 at home to the Catalan side in the second half of the 2018-19 La Liga campaign.

Vinicius' first goal against Girona came at Bernabeu in a 1-1 draw in October 2022, while he scored and provided an assist in the reverse match, which Girona won 4-2 in front of their own supporters.

The attacker's best-ever display against Girona came last season, when he scored and provided two assists in Real Madrid's 4-0 success at Bernabeu, while he also helped Los Blancos win the reverse game 3-0.

Vinicius did not face Girona in the league earlier this season, though, missing his side's 3-0 success through injury.

The South American has also tackled Girona on two occasions in the Copa del Rey, helping Real Madrid to record a 7-3 aggregate success in the quarter-finals of the 2018-19 competition, coming up with three assists in the process.
