Norwich City considering Jordan Rhodes swoop?

Norwich City are reportedly interested in signing Sheffield Wednesday striker Jordan Rhodes.

Norwich City are reportedly interested in signing Sheffield Wednesday striker Jordan Rhodes.

The Canaries are yet to bring in new recruits ahead of the new season, but have sold midfielder James Maddison to Leicester City for £24m, while winger Josh Murphy has signed for Cardiff City.

According to The Mirror, Norwich are now preparing re-invest in their squad, with Wednesday striker Rhodes a priority signing.

The newspaper says that Daniel Farke's side could snap up Rhodes for a cut-price fee, as the Owls look to cut their squad to meet Financial Fair Play rules.

Wednesday, who finished 15th in the Championship last season, reported a loss of £21m up to May 31, while wages rose to £25.9m.

Rhodes has had prolific spells in the second tier with Huddersfield Town and Blackburn Rovers.
