West Ham United have reportedly put talks over a contract extension for Declan Rice on hold until the end of the season.
Rice was offered a new deal by the Hammers in October but turned it down as he holds out for a higher basic wage.
The 19-year-old currently earns £3,000 per week and is understood to have been offered a £15,000-a-week contract with performance-related bonuses which could have raised that figure to around £40,000 per week.
The Hammers also have the ability to extend that stay by a further 12 months due to a clause in his current contract, and therefore are in no rush to tie the youngster down to a long-term deal just yet.
