Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim could be tempted to hand Chido Obi his first senior start when they welcome Ipswich Town to Old Trafford in the Premier League on Wednesday.
Obi was a real handful for both Jarrad Branthwaite and James Tarkowski in the 2-2 draw at Everton, coming on shortly before the Man United fightback from 2-0 down, offering much more of a threat than Rasmus Hojlund, who was underwhelming again.
Hojlund is now without a goal in 16 games across all competitions, while fellow recent signing Joshua Zirkzee has not scored in 13 league matches, illustrating how much a fresh idea is needed up top.
Manuel Ugarte got the vital equaliser, and he was one of three players who returned to the squad at Goodison, as Christian Eriksen and Leny Yoro both overcame illness to feature in the matchday squad, with the latter coming off the bench.
There remains a lengthy list of players on the treatment table though, including Amad Diallo and Lisandro Martinez, both of whom will not play again this season after serious setbacks in the past few weeks.
Less serious, but still sidelined, are midfield pairing Kobbie Mainoo and Mason Mount, but Toby Collyer could be back in the squad imminently after missing the last three games with a knock.
At the back, Luke Shaw and Jonny Evans are also out, while Andre Onana has been the only goalkeeping option available due to injuries for Altay Bayindir and Tom Heaton, and the Cameroonian must improve after he was culpable for Everton's second goal on Saturday.
Defender Noussair Mazraoui had some difficulty in the first half both at dealing with a high-octane Everton side, as well with an early injury that required some treatment, and that could see Yoro start, after he replaced the Moroccan at Goodison.
Manchester United possible starting lineup:
Onana; Yoro, De Ligt, Maguire; Dalot, Casemiro, Ugarte, Dorgu; Zirkzee, Obi, Fernandes
