Liverpool midfielder James Milner to return to Leeds United next season?

Liverpool ace James Milner will reportedly consider leaving Anfield and returning to boyhood side Leeds United should the Whites earn promotion to the Premier League.

James Milner will reportedly quit Liverpool and rejoin Leeds United at the end of the season should his former club earn promotion to the Premier League.

The 32-year-old left his boyhood club in 2004 and has since gone on to represent Newcastle United, Aston Villa, Manchester City and current side Liverpool.

Milner has played a key role in the Reds' title push this term, featuring in all 12 of their matches - nine of those being starts - while also being used three times in the Champions League.

According to the Daily Star, however, the ex-England international will seek a transfer to Elland Road should Leeds secure a place in the top flight in 2019-20.

Liverpool have yet to tie Milner down to a new deal, meaning that he will become a free agent next summer as things stand.
