Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has reportedly turned his focus to signing Nick Pope from Burnley as he attempts to solve his goalkeeping crisis.

The Reds had hoped to bring in Brazil international Alisson from Roma this summer, only for the £79m asking price to prove too steep.

Pope would be available for a far smaller sum of around £15m, according to The Sun, and Klopp is now readying an offer for England's third-choice keeper.

Liverpool are in desperate need of a new number one due to concerns over Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius, the latter of whom made a couple of howlers in last month's 3-1 defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League final.

The report claims that Burnley will consider cashing in on Pope, as they will have Tom Heaton back to full fitness for the start of their pre-season programme.
