EFL Cup final: Can you name every previous winner as Newcastle United beat Liverpool at Wembley

Sports Mole challenges you to name every previous League Cup winner in the competition's history after Newcastle United beat Liverpool to lift the 2025 trophy.

Newcastle United have finally ended their long wait to win another trophy with victory in the 2025 EFL Cup final.

The Magpies went into the Wembley showpiece with Liverpool having gone 70 years without getting their hands on a piece of major silverware.

However, that would change as Dan Burn and Alexander Isak netted either side of half time to secure an historic win for Eddie Howe's side.

Although Federico Chiesa would halve the deficit during what turned out to be 10 minutes of added-on time, Newcastle were full value for their success in the capital.

While Newcastle will now turn their attention to trying to gain qualification for next year's Champions League through their finishing position in the Premier League, success in this game has guaranteed a spot in the playoff round of the Conference League at the very least.

To mark Newcastle's famous day and what will be an unforgettable night, Sports Mole is challenging you to name each of the clubs that have lifted this trophy in the past, Newcastle joining the list of names with their first-ever triumph in this competition.
